Gretchen Baer is an artist and activist from Bisbee, Arizona, that works with oil paints on objects like cars and the Mexican Border Fence. Her art is very colorful and has a flamboyant theme to it. While ascetically her art is not always pleasing to me, it has a character that pulls me in. I mainly like her work with kids in making a mile-long mural covering the fence on the Mexican Border, called Border Bedazzlers. I believe the fence is a complete waste of resources and like how she has given it a special more valuable meaning. As quoted from her blog, "Our project is to beautify the U.S./Mexico border wall. If you can't tear it down, bedazzle it"!
For this school project I took 20 different audio recording associated with sounds I like or dislike and connected them to create a possible day format in which I may partake. Link to Soundcloud: Rainy Day
